Saint nicholas weekend

2 days / 1 night

The traditional Lorraine festival of Saint Nicholas is celebrated with the utmost pomp and circumstance in Nancy. Officially on 6 December, the feast of Saint Nicholas deserves several days of festivities that usually take place on the first weekend in December. Every year, Nancy welcomes a guest of honour that shares this tradition with Lorraine. In 2018, that guest will be Japan!

All weekend long: 75 free shows, rides, big wheel, ice skating, parades, free entry to the museums of the city of Nancy with a dedicated programme of events, free zany rides on the tourist train in the world of Saint Nicholas and the Saint Nicholas Villages (Christmas market).

Saturday 1: the Enfants du Boucher marching band, great parade at the end of the afternoon on the theme of the Great Feast with floats, incredible surprising and gourmet machines, and characters from the legend. Saint Nicholas Night Fever with evening concerts in the bars, restaurants and cultural venues of the town and festive nights in the Saint Nicholas villages.

Sunday 2: big flash mob and Saint Nicholas concer, rides and animations in the streets.

Our favorite
Every evening at 6 :15 p.m., 7 :15 p.m. and 8 :15 p.m. (on Sunday following the parade), an 8-minute video projection show "Winter Rendez-vous Place Stanislas" to rediscover the legend of the three children
