Uckange blast furnace: renewal

Bearing witness to the steel industry’s glorious past in the Fensch Valley, the Parc du Haut Fourneau U4 is a site where heritage and contemporary art meet and is open to the public. Created by Claude Lévêque, the glowing red lights of the Uckange site allude to life in the blast furnace. Discover how the cast iron production worked while hearing from former steel workers who serve as your guides. The Garden of the Elements is an excellent example of an industrial brownfield reconversion.
