The oldest part of the church dates from the 16th century, and successive extensions were made until the 18th century to accommodate the growing number of worshippers. Listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments in 1926. Works of art, listed as Historic Monuments: an 18th century altarpiece, a 16th century Christ on the Cross and a 15th century piéta. The church has the particularity of being covered with a roof of "lava" (laminated sandstone slabs).
