Louis Majorelle, cabinet-maker, ornamental metalworker, industrialist and leading light of the Ecole de Nancy movement (Modern Style), was the first to commission an Art nouveau villa from the Parisian architect Henri Sauvage. This house serves as a veritable catalogue of the architectural style of the Ecole de Nancy. Not to be missed!The villa belongs to the Ecole de Nancy Museum and is located nearby. The interior has been renovated in 2019.You can now discover this exceptional house, jewel of Nancy’s Art Nouveau.The visit is independent, with informations along the exhibition in french and in english. Only the first level is accessible to the persons with reduced mobility. The house is fragile : in order to preserve the floor, it will not be allowed to visit the Villa with stiletto heels and shoe covers will be provided.A booklet with games is given to the children, free of charge, and a trilingual visit app (french, english, german) can also be downloaded for free. A visit is approximetely one hour.We advice you to buy your ticket and book your visit online.
