Located in the former administrative building at Wendel’s headquarters that housed all the facilities for managing the employees and running the mine (miners’ hall, ‘hanging room’, pithead baths and the light room), the Wendel Miners’ Museum brings the everyday life of the miners to life before visitors descend down into the mine itself.The modern and attractive displays spread out over 1,800 m² present objects, models, videos and photos that plunge visitors into Lorraine's coal-mining history, showing the daily routine of miners and their families, the labour policies of mining companies and the different jobs above and below ground.
