8 - moulin d'eschviller et chapelle saint-joseph

The Eschviller mill trail takes you on a tour of a well-preserved landscape along a beautiful, bucolic valley. After crossing the small Schwalb river, which once powered 26 mills, you'll reach Ormersviller via a path through the fields, as far as the magnificent Saint-Joseph chapel.Don't leave the Schwalb valley without visiting the Eschviller mill and its three exhibitions. At the grain mill, you can watch flour being made by a paddle wheel that turns as it did in the old days, turning the gears and the stone millstone. The sawmill, meanwhile, explains how planks are made, again using water power.
