Musée Lorrain
This museum in the heart of Nancy Old Town occupies the former Palace of the Dukes of Lorraine and the Franciscan church.
It gives an insight into the remarkable artistic and cultural life of the region. Archaeological and mediaeval collections are as dazzling as the canvases by Georges de La Tour and the engravings by Jacques Callot.
The convent next to the Franciscan Church, the burial place of the princes of the Lorraine family, contains collections of popular art and traditions that serve as reminders of country life in Lorraine in the 19th century.
Although a vast restoration project is currently underway, the museum remains open to the public.
Open: all year
(from Tuesday till Saturday)
3.50 € instead of 5.50 €
Free for children under 12 years old.
