Is the word “generous” a fitting description of Lorraine?

Most certainly when one considers the range of monuments and tourist sites on offer!
The region has always been a melting pot, producing a rich heritage in terms of history, architecture and culture.
Château de Manderen
The diverse architectural heritage of the region ranges from the monuments of the Gallo-Roman period to contemporary works of art. 

The Gallo-Roman amphitheatre in Grand, Metz Cathedral is surely one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in the country, the Renaissance dwellings in Marville, Place Stanislas in Nancy is included on Unesco’s list of world heritage... indeed, the catalogue is far from complete!
