A WEEKEND OF COMFORT AND PEACE

It’s difficult to resist the charm and warmth of this location. Everything here appeals to peace and serenity. And comfort, of course. The Château d’Adoménil fully deserves its Relais et Châteaux accreditation, set as it is in 7 hectares of grounds filled with flowers and dotted with trees. With the reflections in the water, this is a spectacularly beautiful setting. The stately-home hotel dates from the 16th century with 18th-century restoration. It has 14 guest rooms and consists of three buildings – the main house with its 5 “Comfort” rooms, the right wing, the former stables (5 rooms classified as Comfort, Superior and Junior Suite) and the Vigneron’s House with its four delightful duplexes. Elegance takes many forms here – the choice of rustic furniture, the refined decoration, the brightness of the priceless marble and the colourful tiled floors. The restaurant has four rooms opening out onto the grounds and the same meticulous attention to aesthetic pleasure and a sense of intimacy is equally obvious here. As to relaxation, it is provided by a magnificent swimming pool that blends seamlessly into an environment ideal for walks.
Cuisine
Master of the kitchen and recently awarded the distinction of “Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux”, Cyril Leclerc prepares gourmet global menus ranging from contemporary palate and a new look at the classics. The ingredients are excellent. The seasons are respected. A few examples: Pigeon Breast Royale with its sweetbreads and, for dessert, a Warm Lorraine Mirabelle Plum Soufflé.
