The Auberge du Haut Jardin proves a simple but elegant welcome for guests seeking to enjoy some peace and quiet in wonderful surroundings in the Vosges. The owner, Agnès Masson, and her daughter Charlène welcome guests in the small lounge before taking them to the dining room with its rustic decoration focussing on the main feature, its open fire. The terrace looks out on delightful Vosges countryside, making it the ideal place for some relaxation and a glass of wine.The village of Rehaupal, crisscrossed by age-old paths, is a wonderful starting point for romantic or energetic walks with your significant other, friends or family, accompanied by a mountain guide if you like. We can help you organise your stay, with plenty to see and do in the vicinity. Nearby is Gérardmer. With its lake and surrounding mountains, it provides pure clean air and a sense of inner peace. The bedrooms have delightful names (Harmony, Champêtre and Montagnarde) and all are tastefully and elegantly decorated to provide you with a good night's sleep in warm, cosy surroundings. There is also a spacious family suite for a great holiday. And when you wake up, the buffet breakfast awaits you in the dining room, with its floral decor.
Cuisine
Chef Didier Masson, assisted by his son Luc and by Noémie, suggest flavours that combine gourmet and local cuisine, lovingly prepared with produce from nearby farms and local growers. The chef enjoys using edible plants, fruit and flowers from the mountains to add that special finishing touch to his recipes.
