A GOURMET STOPOVER AT MADINE

Located in the Lorraine Regional Country Park close to Lake Madine, this hotel blends seamless into the Lorraine village atmosphere in Heudicourt-sous-les-Côtes. It has a shady terrace beneath the trees, a flower-decked façade, beams and original stonework, cane armchairs and luminous colour schemes, as well as a bar and a relaxation area. The reception area highlights the hotel’s family and regional values. In the Louis and Grand’vigne rooms decorated in beige and white, the Collinet bridge chairs (made in Meuse) confirm the importance of quality here. The hotel has 14 three-star bedrooms including one with disabled access. There are 30 more bedrooms in an annex to the hotel. Free WiFi, TV, communicating rooms and toys for family guests. In short, everything you could wish for. Then there is the advice about sightseeing in the region, with a hikers’ guide borrowed from the hotel to help you on your way. As an optional extra, a beautician can increase your sense of well-being still further. And as far as the menu is concerned, quality is a daily concern, topped only by the passionate love of wine expressed by the hotel owners, Christelle Drapier and Aurélie Deloyer.
Cuisine
The chefs’ attention to detail is obvious all through the menu. Try the Pressed Foie Gras and Langoustine or the Poultry Supreme and the Crispy Mirabelle Corolla Flambéed and served with Vanilla Ice Cream. Serge also provides succulent fish and scallops. Didier has cooked the meat dishes for the past 30 years! It’s quite a team!
