EXPLORING LORRAINE, A HAVEN OF PEACE AND ENJOYMENT
Holiday from  160 €
Moselle’s countryside at its best. La Dame Blanche blends perfectly into the lush green rolling countryside midway between Metz and Nancy. It gets its name (White Lady) from a barn owl that was a long-time guest in this small farmhouse, now a heavenly B&B. Its stylised shape can be seen on a sundial. And what better way to appreciate the time spent here between the (heated) swimming pool and a terrace overlooking the scenery stretching to the Vosges mountains on the horizon, including Mount Donon. Space, comfort, conviviality and well-being. This is what we owe to Daniel and Claudine Duvoid, a haven of peace and an ideal centre for sightseeing. Mountain bikes and route maps are also available to any guests wanting to see wayside Crosses, timbered houses and bell towers. The breakfast room provides panoramic views – and a sideboard laden with regional cheeses, homemade bread and Danish pastries. There are two well-stocked lakes and a jacuzzi. Meanwhile the three well-appointed suites combine antique furniture and contemporary decor.

Cuisine
The pre-dinner drink may be regional. In fact, it’s essential. It helps you to relax and chat. The table d’hôte menu includes Lorraine produce incorporated into country-style dishes such as a Wild Boar Piglet Stew with Red Wine or a Free Range Chicken in the Auxerrois de Moselle style accompanied by kneddles! Some of the cheeses may be aged with Mirabelle brandy.
