Holiday from 200 €
“Welcome, from the entire family”. In the depths of the Fensch Valley, the old house that once accommodated the master of the steelworks was transformed more than 30 years ago into a convivial home in which comfort and entertainment, gourmet cuisine and discovery are all linked. The thirty-odd rooms, several of them designed for families, take full advantage of the warm, homely welcome, the neighbouring park, the private car park, the bar and its billiard table, the terrace and the restaurants. Then there are the little extra touches that make for a really great break. Roland Remmer is only too delighted to share his collection of miniatures, his wife provides the splendid flower arrangements and his sister Marie-France and her daughter Aurélie look after the restaurant and ensure that there is plenty of local produce available. As to his brother, Daniel, and his nephew, Lionel, they produce succulent meals from the kitchen. Located some 12 kilometres from Thionville, this is also an ideal centre from which to discover the Knutange area on foot (maps supplied), visit the Iron Mines Museum in Neufchef, a chapel in Morlange, the blast furnace in Uckange or the forts along the Maginot Line such as Hackenberg.
