Discovery hike of castle vestiges

What a joy to hike through the heart of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, listed as a World Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. The remarkable site features natural treasures, diverse landscapes and pink sandstone fortresses. The most significant of the Bitche region’s fortified castles is the remains of the semi-troglodyte Falkenstein Castle (falcon rock). Built in the 12th century and destroyed in the Renaissance, it overlooks the Zinsel Valley. The way to the castle is marked from Philippsbourg.
